Short...Don't Long

With the declining market, my strategy is simple... Short stocks. I don't even look at stocks that are going up in this type of market. One of my cardinal rules is to never trade against the market. If the market is going north, then I go north. If it is going south, then I will go south too.

yep, I ALWAYS follow the market direction, which means that I plan to short sell this week!

To me (and this is even though I am a relative new-comer), short stocks are about the only thing that make sense during these times. So it's good for me to see that other people (who are clearly more knowledgeable about these things than I) are thinking along the same lines!

I agree that it is easier to short when the market is going down... but it IS possible to make considerable profits longing. I almost entirely long stocks, even in this market. just wanted to put in my two cents...
