And look for oil to go down some more. Analyst disagree on what they think oil will do next. Some predict that it will stop at 125$, and rally back up, while others think that it will go all the way down to 85$ a barrel. I personally think it will continue going down (but am not sure how far). That being said, you should do your research if you want to get into oil.

I am obviously new to the board and relatively new to trading. I dabbled in it a few years ago, did OK, then made some bad choices (wasn't well informed) and got out. But, I've been doing a lot more research lately and am looking forward to a bright future in trading - can't wait!

BYD - It is in a downtrend, and entering new lows. I would wait for this stock to rally a little before I short it. It should rally in a few days, so I may buy this one at the end of the week.

Buying the breakout may not get you the most money, but it is much safer, and easier to buy the quanity that you want.

I am a part-time swing trader. This means that I buy and hold a stock for 1-14 days. This also means that I place three or fewer trades during a day. I look for stocks that have changed their trend, or have broken away from a chart pattern (Eg: Wedge, triangle, etc.). A trend change occurs when the 10 sma crosses through the 30 ema. This crossover usually occurs after a recent breakout. I look for breakouts from chart patterns ...
