Day Traders

I was wondering if anyone was a day trader here, and if they liked it/make a good living off of it?

Is it easy to get into?

I have the same question. I know a few guys that do this and they say they do decent but not enough to make a living off of, just something they do for fun and a quick burst of money... I think it's like poker, you just get lucky sometimes but I cannot say since I do not know enough about this. Hopefully someone here can answer our question and give some pointers.

Although Day trading seems like a great life (a stock going up 1% in 60 seconds can make you enough money for the week), it is very stressful. I tried it once and it wasn't for me.

First off, you need a HUGE amount of money in order to trade for a living. I would say over 100,000$. Secondly, it is pretty stressful because you can have bad trading days where you will lose $1000-$2000 dollars. You must constantly be looking at 3 monitors at the same time.

In the end, I am glad that I experienced it, but swing trading is more of my style...
